Above: pea soup, cheating-on-winter
light and healthy - just a bit of butter,
diced onions, frozen peas, romaine lettuce and water
broth if you so wish
salt and pepper - blended - served hot or cold
so good none left to be served cold!
garnished with toasted sliced almonds
***
above: m. jacques' armagnac chicken
roasted in crock pot aka slow cooker
worked out fabulously good!
used cognac instead of Armagnac
the sauce was still good!

Great catch up! I think I used cognac in place of the Armagnac, too, when I made that chicken.
Happy New Year Emily. Looks like you have been doing some cooking. I still need to make chicken Armagnac.
wow Emily, you have been busy! all of your dishes look so yummy!
You always have the best catch-ups!
Looks delicious.
Wow, that's a lot of dishes! Thanks for the mango nectar tip. We hate that they all have corn syrup in them, at least all the ones available at the stores around here.
