CtBF ~ MPK - Raw Vegetables Slaw

are cooking from My Paris Kitchen,
David Lebovitz's latest book.
***
A Big Thank You to KatieBetsy and Mary
for putting everything into order and making it happen!
***
my collection of David's books:
***
Page 96: Raw vegetables slaw
Page 96: Garlic vinaigrette
Page 331: Mayonnaise
***
this is the third time I made the raw veg slaw with the
home made mayo and (grated) garlic dressing.
 The vegetables used today are:
purple cabbage, red endives, cherry radishes and fennel.
Made the full amount for the dressing but used a large tablespoonful
of dressing to half the salad I prepared.
paired with puff pastry case filed with teriyaki salmon
***
Finished 'A man called Ove' by Fredrik Backman
enjoyed it thoroughly.
and started on his second book
'My grandma sends her regards and apologises'

You went the extra mile with homemade mayonnaise! Your salad looks great, as does the salmon.

Nice! I use homemade mayo, too. I'm not a fan of store bought mayo at all and can really only stomach homemade stuff, for whatever reason. What oil do you use? I found avocado oil makes the best texture, for whatever reason, but I'm always on the lookout for what others use. The salad looks great, Emily, and with that salmon and puff pastry? YUM!

Perfect meal! Slaw with salmon and puff pastry! I'use the broccoli raw, sliced in to small pieces, and very nice!

Wow, that's quite the meal, very creative of you, Ms. Emily. The slaw seems a perfect combo with salmon and in puff pastry???, what's not to like. Homemade mayo. Good for you. I noticed this week-end that 'A man called Ove' is a best seller at our local Aspen bookstore. I am reading "The Arrangement", a novel about MFK Fisher's life. Betsy recommended it.

Making the slaw more than once, three times actually, encourages me to follow suit to make it again. Thanks!
