A Big Thank You to KatieBetsy and Mary
for putting everything into order and making it happen!

my collection of David's books:

I made Fattoush once before (a Nigella's recipe)
I have another fattoush recipe waiting on the side to be made
(a slightly different list of ingredients)
above: My portion for brunch
First time ever that I remember seeing green cherry tomatoes, so bought some.
I used store-bought pitas (too lazy to make any)
yes, lots of sumac in the dressing and more dusted on top
(bottled half the dressing, reserved half the salad items for later)
Above: DH's dinner
Fattoush with poached fish parcel
I added some honey to the dressing to suit his taste

Top three books arrived two days ago,
currently reading The invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd

I used store-bought pita chips! Figured it was the best shortcut I could make with the salad. :) Looks good, Emily, and I bet the honey in the dressing was lovely, especially with the green cherry tomatoes!

I used store-bought pita, too. Your salad looks great and I still have 3/4 of the dressing in the fridge waiting for repeats!

This was a lovely salad, we enjoyed it with the vinaigrette dressing.
I did not have sumac so I used lemon zest with salt and pepper
instead.

I only needed half the dressing also and saved the other half for later use. Unfortunately I dressed the entire salad and had a few portions left. Not a good idea. The next day the nicest thing I can say about it is, "soggy." I had to toss it out. Mardi also has made NL's Fattoush. I have read The Invention of Wings (very good) and Finn's book about the cooking school (never attend cooking school!!!). You'll enjoy them, I think. I am not familiar with the author of the other two books. I always love getting books in the mail. Amazon and I are buddies.

I only made enough salad for one dinner and reserved dressing for another night... and then I made this again the following night. The more I comment about this salad the more I think I will be making this yet again next weekend!

The green cherry tomato amid the regular red variety stands out in the picture. A lovely salad there. Adding honey may be necessary but I didn't. May be next time.

I used store-bought pita too. Only Natasha seemed to have made her own. This was a good one.
I like that you shared your reading pile. I might start doing that. I've read the Finn book, but not the others, though they are on my (neverending) list.

You have made NL's Fattoush too!
This is a very nice salad, we've enjoyed it with the DL's chicken! :)

That is quite the summer reading list! You're the second to mention Nigella's recipe and the fourth already familiar with fattoush! Where have I been all these years? And I wouldn't call not baking your own pita lazy. Lazy is me not going to the store to buy some!
