FFwD ~ Boeuf à la Mode (French Pot Roast)

I am on a roll

my 3rd Friday

Cooking and Baking from:
on
Boeuf à la Mode
aka
French Pot Roast
 at half the recipe
*2lbs instead of 4lbs of beef
*without the brandy

so happy that HCP does the job of the oven!
and the dish was ready (fork tender) in 2 hours (instead of 3!)

time and energy saving HCP!

served with blanched carrots, mushrooms and asparagus
with twice cooked baby potatoes

bon appétit

DH will have a sandwich with beef filling tomorrow!
BTW
I made this too

So great that your first pot roast was such a success! And, this meat makes the best sandwiches!

Yes I am also looking forward to playing with my leftovers ;) I don't understand what the "Happy Cali Pan" is though - the link takes you to a recipe. Is it an electric skillet that you can also put on the cooktop? In any case, well done - yours looks great (this was my first one too!)

Thanks Joyce! Join me if the book is on your shelf!

Thanks Diane! The gravy was thick enough that I need to dilute it when I am heating up the leftovers.

How resourceful! I also used a smaller roast and had so much leftover sauce I froze it.

LOL I dont understand if the pan is more like a pressure cooker, but I'm surprised to see how much liquid you managed to get in there! WOW!

And how cute that you made the apple cakes in the mermaid rings! :)

Good job! We have a lot of catching up to do!
