I am on a roll
my 3rd Friday
Cooking and Baking from:
on
Boeuf à la Mode
aka
French Pot Roast
at half the recipe
*2lbs instead of 4lbs of beef
*without the brandy
so happy that HCP does the job of the oven!
and the dish was ready (fork tender) in 2 hours (instead of 3!)
time and energy saving HCP!
served with blanched carrots, mushrooms and asparagus
with twice cooked baby potatoes
bon appétit
DH will have a sandwich with beef filling tomorrow!

I made this too

So great that your first pot roast was such a success! And, this meat makes the best sandwiches!
Yes I am also looking forward to playing with my leftovers ;) I don't understand what the "Happy Cali Pan" is though - the link takes you to a recipe. Is it an electric skillet that you can also put on the cooktop? In any case, well done - yours looks great (this was my first one too!)
Yum! Your pot roast looks great :)

Gonna try freezing some of it first and then make a pie of it!
Thanks Joyce! Join me if the book is on your shelf!
Thanks Diane! The gravy was thick enough that I need to dilute it when I am heating up the leftovers.
Nice job Emily. Looks like a delicious plate for dinner.
Everything looks so delicious, a lovely dinner.
Your roast looks delish! I think I need me a HCP.
How resourceful! I also used a smaller roast and had so much leftover sauce I froze it.
Your roast looks great! And I love the veggies, too. Great job!
oops... all gone! ;)
oops... all gone! ;)
Oh man- I knew I should have added veggies :) Yours look amazing and that pan is really cool. Great job !!!
Looks great!
LOL I dont understand if the pan is more like a pressure cooker, but I'm surprised to see how much liquid you managed to get in there! WOW!
And how cute that you made the apple cakes in the mermaid rings! :)
Good job! We have a lot of catching up to do!
