Donna Hay's Steamed Ginger Chicken

I used two slices of chicken breast fillet and steamed in my mini bamboo steamer over the smaller of my thermal cooker pot.  served with rice balls!
4 long ginger slices
4 x 200g (7 oz) chicken breast fillets
4 green onions (scallions) [I used coriander]
1-1/2 tsp soy sauce [dash of]
1-1/2 tsp fish sauce [splash of]
steamed asian greens to serve

Place a slice of ginger on top of each chicken breast and tie with a green onion.  Place the chicken on a plate with the ends of thre green onion underneath. Combine soy and fish sauces, pour over the chicken and place the plate inside a large bamboo steamer over a large saucepan of boiling water.  Cover and steam for 8 minutes or until cooked through.  Serve with steamed Asian greens and drizzle with any juices.  Serves 4.

DH is always good in creating Asian-Western fusion dishes. I hardly cook any chicken dish by steaming and I think your steamed chicken looks very delicious. I think the addition of ginger will give this dish lots of extra bites and flavours. Yum!
