CtBF ~ MPK ~ Caramel pork ribs

My power breakfast this morning:
ribs, mash, crunchy jicama salad, and some greens.
Made the ribs last night, on the stove top in one hour.
I kept the pot covered throughout the cooking process,
turning the ribs frequently.
Tender and not too sweet (cos I reduced the sugars!)
Hope hubby likes it (even though he said 'no' when I asked him
earlier in the week if he wants ribs...
(he is only back from out of town later today!)
let's see if this packed lunch is appreciated.
Started on Paul Kalanithi's When Breath Becomes Air this week,
after finishing The Cross Gardener by Jason F Wright
(which took me three nights to read!)

I will definitely reduce the sugar the next time, as I prefer savoury more than sweet! Ribs for breakfast, that is one breakfast fit for a king! Yums!

Good looking ribs, I hope hubby liked them.

I never thought to decrease the sugar, but so happy to hear that others had success with that. I hope your husband enjoys them!
I read when Breath becomes air, I really enjoyed the book- very enlightening, let me know what you think. I think we have similar tastes in books.

I actually do believe that you ate ribs for breakfast and read The Cross Gardener in 3 nights! OMG, Emily, that book begins with a fatal car crash. Give me some happy books to read. I already have all the stress I can handle here in America. Paul Kalanithi's widow was in Aspen last summer during the writer's conference and did a Q&A with Ann Patchett. Quite a night. My ribs flunked. Yours look good. Hope hubby liked. If not, you had leftovers available for another breakfast!

Reducing the amount of sugar is probably the direction I'd take if I make these ribs again. Too much sugar gets me very guilty!

So, did the hubby like them?? They look fantastic and I definitely agree about the need to reduce the sugar a bit. That plate of food sure looks perfect!
