My choice for October 2016 - Tomato Soup Cake - pages 196-197
It has a can of Campbell Tomato Soup in the list of ingredients, with some spices
as well as cocoa powder.

Pitted dates and walnuts, chopped, are also on the list.
I did reduced the sugar to a loose 2/4 cup from 1 cup, and I used soft brown sugar.
Bittersweet Chocolate Icing is made and poured over the cooled cake
while still in the pan if you preferred.
The taste was nice this morning at breakfast, let's see if flavors will develop further
in a day or two. Most unusual ingredient used so far - canned tomato soup!

I bet that was delicous... I used to make a chocolate cake that contained tin tomatoes as it was fabulous.
