Cook Like a Star, All Stars ~ Chocolate-filled French Toast by Bill Granger

Was catching up with my reading when I suddenly
remembered
that I did not have my dinner
and this was 10pm....
(Chocolate-filled French Toast)
while Bill Granger made this for breakfast in bed treats

I had it for supper!
I adapted the recipe for one portion:
*2 slices of bread
(whatever you have on hand)
*1 egg
*a sprinkle of castor sugar
*chopped chocolate
(I used Lindt's Milk Chocolate)
*pinch of salt
*1/4 cup milk
*1 tablespoon butter for frying
:whisk the egg, sugar, salt and milk to combine
heat up my cast iron skillet
add the butter
soak a slice of bread in the egg mixture
turn to turn both sides
place the bread into the butter
sprinkle the chocolate on the bread
soak the second slice of bread in egg mixture
turn and coat the other side too
place on top of the first piece of bread
cook each side for 5 mins or until golden
serve immediately
recipe from page 132 n 133

Hi Emily,

Breakfast for bedtime! You are still thinking of Bill Granger and his breakfast recipes before you sleep?... ha ha ha! With so many delicious breakfast recipes, the only problem is there is not enough mornings to cook and eat :p
