I have had my copy of
Baking with Julia
written by Dorie Greenspan
for the longest time,
but only baked from it (including this) twice
so I am taking the opportunity to
participate with these lovely ladies:
my contribution:
Cheese and Tomato Galette ~ pg 429
Galette Dough ~ pg 371-372
Julia's galette dough is quite interesting,
it called for a bit of sour cream
and
fine cornmeal (for the crunch!)
and I used sweet basil (and spring onions)
from my balcony garden
below: first slice fresh from the oven,
wokey - let it cooled for 20 mins...
Excellent!

Thanks for dropping by for a visit and hope you take a minute to say 'hello'

Hi Emily,
Your galette looks delish! Using fine cornmeal for the dough does sound interesting! Like you, I too have this book for the longest time, but so far only baked the pound cake! Thanks for baking along with us!
