Cookbook Countdown #18: Creme de marrons aka chestnut cream

Chestnuts are back in season? Anyway saw them in the market, brought a small bag home.  Boiled them in the thermal pot and came home to shelling them and decided to make something new ~ chestnut cream!
cooked chestnuts (shelled), cream, soft brown sugar, vanilla pod, a pinch of salt

 once cooled, blended!
Recipe from pages 52-53 of Rachel Khoo's sweet & savory pates
served as filling for thin pancakes with blueberries and red dragon fruit cubes
with a drizzle of honey.
