Cookbook Countdown BAKE#1~ Two ways with puff pastry

 Welcome to Cookbook Countdown
I'm co-hosting Cookbook Countdown together with Joyce of Kitchen Flavours. If you are like us, who love to collect cookbooks and have an overcrowding bookshelf (or bookshelves!), yet most of the books have not been used at all, now is the time to change that. Join us at Cookbook Countdown.

If you are raring to go Bake (like me) from your
massive collection of Cake, Pastry and Bread books,
here is your venue to share your baking journey!

part of my own collection ~ Emily
It will be fun if you could include a picture of
!your Cake, Pastry and Bread book collection
****
"You will have a free hand in either baking from a single book for each month, or use
numerous books over the three months. The choice is entirely yours! Enjoy!

From Rachel Khoo's The Little Paris Kitchen
pages 138-139 ~ Palmiers et sacristains sales
aka Elephant ears and puff pastry twists
using my stock of store bought puff pastry squares
Top: sacristains - pitted olives, garlic clove and anchovy fillet
Bottom: palmiers: - grainy mustard and grated cheese

these are mini size due to the store bought puff pastry squares
but you must agree that these are just great for snacking, with beer
and suitable for the football season currently underway!
