FFwD ~ Côte d’Azur Cure-All Soup

This week's recipe is a home remedy for everything
from the common cold to the just-as-common hangover
~boiled garlic~
and lots of it - for flavor, fragrance, and healing power
and Dorie's recipe came by courtesy of Nick Malgieri
a relatively simple and quick soup:
a whole head of garlic, egg yolks, parmesan cheese
herbs (sage, bay leaves and thyme)
water or broth
garnish with olive oil (and I added cili flakes for color)
 Côte d’Azur Cure-all Soup (p70)
***
chanced upon some swiss chard while looking for other stuff
(saw some jerusalem artichokes too -
but saving that for some other Fridays)
so blitzed up the ingredients in a blender
and made pancakes
*Swiss Chard Pancakes
topped with *Creamy Mushroom
with Egg (nope - no eggs)
cos I was trying out another method of making poached eggs
but that did not work and that being the last egg
end of story..

Both your soup and pancakes look terrific! I love when you post make up recipes---I'd forgotten about these yummy pancakes!

I remember those pancakes... thanks for making me think of them again. Glad you enjoyed the soup. I bet that red pepper makes this soup even more of cure-all.

Looks delicious. I might need to give those chard pancakes another try.

These all look so good and congrats on the pancakes as well. I really enjoyed those. How come I haven't made them again?

You are on a mission to finish all the recipes by the time we're done, aren't you? Nice combo.

Your soup looks wonderful, as well as the pancakes. I'm trying
to finish the few recipes that I missed too and we are having some
crazy meals around here.

Emily, beuatifully-colored Cure-All-Soup - chili flakes sound like a delightful addition too and to spice things up a bit! Nice idea! The Swiss Chard Pancakes were wonderful and, yes, I should make them again - I also appreciate all your reminder/make-ups!
Have a nice weekend,
Andrea
