I had been wanting to make this for some time
and it was quick and easy for a weekday dinner
page 152 and 153
of Jamie Oliver's 'Happy Days with the Naked Chef'
*thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger, peeled and finely chopped
*2 cloves of garlic, peeled and finely chopped
*1 fresh red chilli, deseeded and finely sliced
*5 medium raw tiger prawns, tails left on
*1-2 limes, to taste
*1 hand full of homegrown arugula - roughly chopped
(Jamie used flat leaf parsley)
*salt and black pepper to taste
*half a focacia bread - sliced into two layers
i
into a my heated cast iron pan
a big splash of olive oil
dump into the hot olive oil - the ginger, garlic, chilli and shrimp
fry for 3 mins
turn the heat down
squeeze in the juice of 1or2 limes
add the chopped greens
add a small splash of olive oil
toss over and turn off the heat
season to taste
pour over toasted bread
I had this with t.h.i.s. for my dinner tonight

Looks a lovely and delicious evening meal x
What a great looking meal!
Love this delicious shrimp dish!
Hi Emily
I was just thinking that the shrimp must be good over pasta too! Sounds so flavourful!
And I am so jealous of your homegrown arugula! :)
Hi Emily,
I like your yummy dinner minus the shrimps (because of my allergy :p) I remember this book... Jamie Oliver was so young!
