DH did not finish the loaf of Double Brioche (don't know why its called that) from a new bakery round the corner from our place. Retrieve three pieces from the freezer, halved them giving me six pieces.
Dunk them in mixture of 2 whole eggs with a splash of whipping cream (I really need to finish the balance), a pinch of sea salt, a tablespoon caster sugar all whisked together. Butter a small fry pan, fry till golden, dish out.
Served warm with a handful of chopped strawberries and banana stewed with a tablespoon of sugar and some orange ginger syrup from another adverture...
