I won this pair of pot holders in an auction
and got myself this single set of
blue and white for a song!
~ happiness ~
I have been wanting this for the longest time!

I like the name of January's cake
old fashion pound cake ~ we get to make any variation
we like ~ spirited or nutty or chocolate chip...
I had forgotten to blitz the chocolate chips and add it to the batter....
(cos I made mini-s ~ bake time was only 30mins in my gas oven)
sigh....
so I made a ganache with them!
my variation for the pound cake:
infused finely chopped crystallised ginger in the 1/4 cup of milk
and for garnish
a drizzle of the ganache over the cooled loaf cake
and decorated with some chocolate dipped strawberries!
so here's my ginger pound cake!
the taste was okay - hope its more pronounced
tomorrow!
(apologies for the quality of pictures,
dropped my Sony camera my son-in-law gave me,
so using an old camera which I have forgotten
how to use!)
