Almost Curtis Stone

well this was almost Curtis
and the berry sauce was partly Anna Olsen!
Two diagonally thick sliced  (a few days old) baquette
dunked into this mixture of:
Two eggs, beaten with pinch of sea salt
with a big splash of milk;
slow fried in bubbling unsalted butter until golden on both sides
(of course flip over once)
and dish up!

in my small saute pan,
heat up a big dollop of unsalted butter,
add
a big splash (2 tablespoons) organic maple syrup
a couple drops of balsamic vinegar
a pinch of five spice powder
1/4 cup of frozen blueberries (quick rinse and drained)
three frozen strawberries (quick rinse, dried and quartered)
when mixture is heated through and starting
to simmer, partly mash up the blueberries
when the sauce is slightly reduced...
its ready!!

BIG YUMMS
(the above plate was part of DH's breakfast)
hey! it was french toast right?
ps: I had a similar serving
