Custard Cake

bake one of my own!
the only change I made was (RED)
2 cups self-raising flour, sifted

250g butter at room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
Rind of 1 lemon, finely grated
1 3/4 cups caster sugar (I used half soft brown sugar)
4 eggs
3/4 cup custard powder
1 cup milk

because of the brown sugar, the color of my cake is not as vibrant as Chris's
but I do like the texture of the cake
