CTBF~ED: Fresh off-the-cob corn chowder

I was planning a quiet day of taking my time to make this chowder as per the written recipe, but as usual  hubby will always make a dent to my plans by coming back a day early. Meaning I have to adjust the outcome of this chowder to suit his requirements.
Even with the necessary adjustments, he still picked out the potato chunks and ate those, and only half the soup.
His dinner of last night.
Above: We had the balance of the chowder for a late lunch today (after further cooking),  accompanied with samplings of mini pies from The Pie Thing! Both chowder and pies went down well with us!

Those pies do look tasty and a quite perfect pairing with the soup. You do feed that man well!

What a pretty bowl of chowder with the greens! Three different pie fillings! Looks good with the chowder!

Husbands do sometimes throw a wrench in our plans... Glad that you got to try it, even if he was fussy about eating his portion.

Great job Emily ! I am so impressed by how much you accomplish- especially in the kitchen. Glad that hubby at least had a portion of the soup, it was so delicious that I probably would have been happy to have more for me if my own family wasn't chowing it down lol ! This is some fabulous book.
