Emily, I am thinking this does not need seasoning. Only if it SAYS it does, do it. I have a similar pottery bowl like your tagine and I didn't season it and have been using it for years.
So nice of you to visit here. The label does say season .... by two steps some more... firstly soak in hot water and then oil-ling and follow by baking in oven for two hours.... see why I am exhausted just reading the instructions? ;) I also read the buyer's reviews at Amazon.... seems like one can get away without seasoning depending on one's luck with pottery!
