I am two days late for this month's bake, well with valid reasons
one cos I was bz with my 1st grandchild
two cos I really wanted to bake it for my birthday (today!)
and so here is
another recipe from Tish Boyle's The Cake Book, page 290
too lazy to pipe so used two spoons! and I made half the recipe
Above: This I like (before adding the whipped cream!) best and
2nd best after adding the whipped cream! LOL!
probably baked it too long but nevertheless
the 1st time 'small success' with meringue. will aim for 'a paler tone' the next time!
